What an amazing two weekends!
It was worth the sleepless nights to stay up and watch a confident and skilled NZ Sevens team play the best sevens of the series to win the World Championship!.
The belief and faith in winning and each other was almost palpable as I watched the NZ team run onto the field for the final.
DJ and Edwin were the rocks that created the go forward for Tomasi, Zar and Afeleki to dominate. It was hard to pick out any individual as it truly was a team effort.
Cunning game planning by Titch saw the boys change against Samoa and the action was on the short inside ball. Three balls wide to Afeleki to get the Samoans thinking that NZ was going to attack out wide then a short ball to Zar and it was all over! Magnificent sevens.
The look of pure joy on Titch's face was a sight to behold.
Enjoy it boys as you can only get better.
